Hitler’s Exile
Discovering the truth.

"Now to the order of the day:" Martin Bormann said aloud, interrupting the small talk - once again catching the group’s attention. He had lit a cigar, puffing between his words.
"Historically, the Reich has established support organizations in South America, and during the war, we have expanded our presence there. President Ramirez and Peron in Argentina have been of great help until recently, as well as other regional political personalities. We have a network with extensive financial capacity, valuable for an eventual exile Government. However, we got a problem." He shook his head, and his expression changed. "We have had too many partners in this endeavor. German Corporations, their subsidiaries abroad, Axis partners, the Vatican and the Pope, members of the German clergy, and on and on. Himmler involved too many people," he sneered.
Bormann paused with an angry look. "Our preparations have not gone unnoticed. Foreign spies, double-crossing agents, and diplomatic services have followed our every move. The British and the Americans are aware of these organizations, and unfortunately, it is not the secret it should have been. We have indications they may even have penetrated our networks. It’s impossible to ascertain at this stage, as few can be trusted."

After the toast, Pilar looked at Kike. "Amor, I think we should be leaving too. I want to be on the beach early."
Gesturing with his chin, Kike looked at Nick and Isabella. "You guys finish the wine."
Alone at the table, insecure, Nick slid his hand slowly across the white tablecloth, between the glasses and plates, holding her gaze until he touched her hand, interlacing his fingers with hers.
"They have abandoned us!" He uttered with a hoarse whisper.
She cocked her head to one side. "Do you mind?" She retorted with a shy smile radiating from her whole face.
